Maria is the founder and creative director of Humani Studios, Inc and creator of the Humani™️ Teacher Training Program.

Maria started teaching 14+ years ago —after leaving her career in public policy. After being a passionate Pilates nerd for many years, she recognized the need for an inclusive and safe space for all humans in her local community to explore themselves through movement. Eventually she opened the doors to Humani Pilates, which is now the most recognized and top rated Pilates studio in her City.

Maria believes in spaces where the teacher and the student are equally invested in personal growth and see each other’s perspective and experiences as insightful and valuable. She also believes in constant evolution — for students, teachers, and the movement industry as a whole.

Through the combination of Pilates Certification Programs, continuing education training for teachers, and exclusive Masterminds, Maria helps develop skilled and confident teachers that are also fulfilled with their work, and able to create spaces in alignment with their unique vision.

Maria mentors and coaches movement educators and other small business owners, helping them start and scale businesses that align with their authentic gifts and missions.
